If you dont know what HDR is it mean High Dynamic Range; *Start quote from wiki* a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of exposures (the range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital imaging techniques. *end quote from wiki*
Im not sure how to post the pictures right to the site, I havent figured that out yet and I dont really want to search up on it right now, so heres a link. HDR Pictures

HDR photography is a very interesting technique. I use it a fair bit.
It is normally an image, which as you have mentioned, contains a higher dynamic / lighting range than a normal camera sensor could capture. These are normally made up of 3 or more images 'plumbed' together in a program such as PhotoMatix. To capture these 3 images, you can normally set your DSLR or other digital camera to use "exposure bracketing", this is where 3 pictures are taken at the overexposed end of metering, the average metering and the under-exposed end of metering. You can get some interesting results. To post an image on here, you need to use the [img] tag. So for example, you would put: [img]INSERTIMAGEURLHERE[/img] and it should work. Here are some of my HDRs: ![]() ![]() |

HDR photography is sooo much fun to work with, but one thing I found out the hard way is that they never really look super great unless you have a 6.5 Mega pixel or higher Camera
my 5.1 just wouldn't cut it when I tried putting them together, but thats for the Super Super clear photos ![]() InterfaceLIFT has a bunch of HDR photos posted all the time, go check out that site, you are bound to find some really nice looking photos there! |
