Headset or Speakers?

Do u prefer speakers or headset?

I have a 5.1 surround sound speaker system, i like to use them sometimes in pubs but other wise i prefer a headset

Headsets for competitive game imo, but for games that need real ambience and true bass; speakers win hands down. Thats if your neighbours dont mind the walls shaking

For total precision on sound, i would use my headset. For awesome bass and ambience it has to be speakers

I use a headset. It's fully 5.1 and has great bass.

It's really good to be able to turn the volume up really loud and not wake up the rest of the street at 3am

I use a headset too,i like it becuz you can you can turn up the volume,and having no complains from you family in your house

i prefair a headset, my sister moans too much about random people talking and all the gun sounds, and also playing maps like dust2 you can hear the footsteps

Headsets that block out a lot of sound. that is what i like, but if there is no sound in my house then i use speakers sometimes.

I prefere to use my headset than the my speakers. Plus it helps me hear peoples foot steps

I use headset most of the time, but the sound of an awp shot on 5.1 speakers is just.. delicious.

Speakers would be good if you were sat directly in the middle of the 5.1 setup, but for me, my computer is in the corner of my room, and all the 5.1 speakers are pointed to the centre of my room, so it just doesnt work.

So for me it just has to be a good 5.1 Surround Sound Headset.

I use a cheap headset. I used to use 5.1...but I prefer being heard when I speak in-game.

Headsets...with great sound! I got a GameCom/Pro1 by Plantronics. Got it on sale from Amazon I think. It was 79.99 and I got it for 39.99. So far it's really really good! I love to turn up my ingame sound, makes me feel like I'm really there, right in the middle of everything! You'll never really know how much sound can be used to your advantage on every single map!

Seriously though, Using a good headset gives you an advantage on CSS over those who don't.

I keep accusing people of running like an elephant as you can hear them "thundering" around the map

I use a headset, never turned it up all the way, but i can hear things for an incredible distance. Paid $40 for it not to bad, Logitech to go along with everything else logitech i have.
