Spectate CAL Players on Server
Hello,
I was curious if there is a way to observe CAL players playing a game on a server. Is there an IP available so I can just observe? This is for "educational" purposes and curiosity on what caliber of players are out in the world. R/OPREP |

The only way to Spectate players in any match is through HLTV (Half Life TV). HLTVs can have just a few slots of many slots - depending on the HLTV provider. You can connect to HLTV just as you would a regular server. STEAM also has it set up to identify HLTV servers so you can see what HLTVs are currently running and such. Go to view -> servers -> spectate and choose from those servers (all HLTVs).
HLTV doesn't have to be live though. Some HLTVs may be playing matches that have already been played. HLTV is normally delayed for 3 minutes (although it can be set to no delay or much longer than 3 minutes). Some HLTVs allow spectators to chat (typing only) and others will block all chat. You can sometimes even hear the in game chat of those playing in the match - but often it's set to be garbled so you can't understand what is being said. You can also record demos from HLTV to watch later. |

but i do love watching old 1.6 cal-i matches, those guys are insanely good.
