Acceptable and NOT Acceptable Camping- ALL PLAYERS READ

OK, I had this request of a mini-FAQ in regards to the two game types and what should be considered as camping and what is acceptable camping:

CS MAPS:

Acceptable:

Terrorists (Assault/Office maps mainly) should never be heckled if camping where they spawn or close to the hostages. Also, "camping" the LOWER VENT is OK. Passing through the UPPER VENT is OK, or if RELOADING and dropping down. Remember, that the point of CS maps are to PREVENT THE CT’s from rescuing the hostages. So, camping in the office of Assault where the Hostages are is an ACCEPTABLE STRATEGY. In the Office map, camping the Hostages is ALSO ACCEPTABLE. However, camping the hostage room for numerous rounds in a row is NOT. These are VIABLE STRATEGIES and should NOT incur ANY Admin “assistance” (i.e. slapping/warning/teleport). Also, an ACCEPTABLE strategy is for Terrorists to camp the Hostage Rescue Zones, especially if there is only one Terrorist left. This too is a VIABLE STRATEGY. **Note** Using the ‘glitch' by the front door in Assault where one is crouched on the Hook is NOT CONSIDERED to be glitching, even though it is technically a glitch.

Unacceptable: Any camping in the Assault map that is done on the Second Floor ABOVE THE OFFICE (right above the front door, when one uses the thermostat and crouch jump to the ‘office glitch’) is a TYPE OF GLITCH, and should be treated the same as if it were the glitch opposite of the Overpass near CT Spawn. The other place, which I mentioned above, is the Building Glitch near CT Spawn.

AND NO TERRORIST IS ALLOWED TO CAMP THE UPPERVENT, CT's MAY, PROVIDING THAT THEY DO NOT RUN THE CLOCK!


Admins are ENCOURAGED TO:
1)WARN
2)WARN
3)SLAP OFF (0 dmg)
4)Teleport or Kick
5)Kick

Anyone up to the task of recording a demo of these assault and/or office glitches? I dont think I have ever seen them before... I'm really not that nooby lol I compete in CAL so we always play de maps.

There is allways Terrorists in the Upper Vent, and to make everyone stop doing that you would need a admin on the servers 24/7. ( Most of the noobs think they are good sitting there and shooting people in the head when they are going through the vent )

If you see an UV camper and there's no admin in the server, then just record a demo of the player with status in console to get their Steam IDs, then send it in to hacker@spawnpoint.com. The Spawnpoint staff will do something about repeat offenders.

Another unacceptable assault glitch:

Underneath the office area are some boxed with money in them. If you stand on the one with the money SHOWING, your head sticks through the floor of the office. This is becoming a more "popular" glitch every day and is not acceptable. Treat the same as any other glitch.

No, I'm not staff, but I've been an assault admin longer than some of the senior admins have been at Spawnpoint so I do surprisingly know what I'm talking about..

Yeah, I know about that one. Bullet and I actually tried it out to see if we could replicate it to include it into the "guide". I thought that he had included it, but I guess he hadn't yet.

But yeah, I recorded a demo of someone that did it. Think I deleted that demo now though.

But yeah, you have to jump on it a certain way to get the floor to "open up".

It's kind of a useless glitch unless you're there to catch the CTs dropping down the vent, cause you can shoot them, kill/hurt them, and move over an inch and be completely underneath the floor again to where you can evade getting shot.

I have seen the head through the floor under office glitch before on spawnpoint server. Never heard of anyone getting a kill from it. Ill keep my eye open for it on spawnpoint 24/7 assault tin shack

Trust me, it's doable.

I've done my research (don't worry it was like 3am and only Bullet and myself were on. We tried it out).
