Why is the UK servers longer time down?

So does that mean that Spawnpoints interest in the European market is now finished or are you intending to get another UK server box up and running?

We were just beginning to build a really nice "European Wing" to the Spawnpoint empire.

What are Spawnpoints plans (If any) to replace this box?

I think I may cry .

I really liked Common Grounds, it was my css home for over a year. I've fond memories back when it couldn't even change map by itself and I had to do it manually twice a day. Then the pride of watching it grow up and being able to change map all by itself, it had stats and betting, just like a proper server. Only for it to be so cruely taken away from us in the prime of its life.

I don't know if Spawnpoint have any plans to open some more UK / European servers, but I'm sure if you did they could be just as popular as the ones that have just closed. Most of the servers would be full at some point, with assault being full for at least 12 hours and Common Grounds not far behind. I noticed quite a few UK server regulars on some of the US servers, which just shows that they want to play on Spawnpoint servers.

Also you have an established group of admins who would be ready to take over on any new servers. This combined with the fact that Spawnpoint had so many regulars would make any new servers easy to populate quickly.

I don't know how Spawnpoint works financially but more full servers and increased website traffic can't hurt.

And if I can't appeal to your financial sense would begging persuede you to open some more? Please, please, please, I'll be your best friend

The issue is out of our control for the moment, we apologize. But we are looking into other possibilities for a UK presence again.

I'm sure if you look at the server logs for the UK box you'll see that Phil is quite correct. Assault had, at times, a 20 minute queue to get on to it and I know that there were 4 of the "regulars" all playing on the same US server last night (although our latency suffers at around 100).

I really do hope that you see fit to re-commence your European servers as i'm sure with the co-operation of Spawnpoint we admins can make them grow and flourish as we were doing with the current (now expired) ones.

Edit: - On a side note can anyone give me the ip's of any East Coast 24/7 Assault servers thatI can play on. I've looked at the server list but they don't tell mewhere in the USA they are and i'd like to keep my latency down as much as possible.

OMG I can't believe it. I hoped your first message about the UK servers being forever closed was just a joke... You ruined my whole day and the following too... sigh...[]

Hope there will be other SP servers opened there because lots of Europeans players are now homeless...

Damn...tht´s hurts all other Euro Assault server are crappy but what i notice the last week was that latency from sweden rise against the Uk-assault

Raven you could try 24/7 Assault [Da] (69.90.174.11:27015), I've not been on too many US assault servers but that had the lowest ping of the ones I have tried.

Weaver, if I can help in any way in planning or setting up some more UK servers then just ask.

Phil, I will try that server tonight and pawn some frags on US soil =)

with my ping over there i will own in rising latency so i doubt that they even gona se me
lag around there =)

and i have 100/100 full duplex :P
