Then Spear of Destiny
Then Wolf-3D
Then Doom..

Counterstrike was just the inevitable progression for me.

First time i played css, was at lunch..at a cyber cafe a block away from my school in argentina, it must of been mid/late 2001 (after we met the game, we all became addicted to it, literally..and we would go there EVERY lunch). Eventually the cafe closed and i never played again, till a few months ago, when the winter started here in canada, and i said '**** it, i cant take the cold!' and i bought the game to not get bored home.

Only reason why i really starting playing its because of thewinter coldonly reason why im still playing, because i want to keep helping spawnpoint to the best of my abilities.


I also played doom and Wolf ( the original version) when i was 2 years old..AND I ACTUALLY PASSED THE ENTIRE GAME, there is a video of it my parents made. (my dad and mum are in computers, so they were bound to get me that stuff).


I beat an entire game, i dont even remember playing. LOL

CS 1.6 was my first online gaming experience. I played many single player games, like HL1 and the like. I actually bought the Half-Life: Generation thing. So I played HL1 Single Player, then a week or so later decided to try out the Counter Strike that was included. That was version 1.2, I think! So, I played that for a while, then got bored of it and moved on to something else. Runescape or something like that, I think.

Then, one day, CS: Source appeared out of no where! No where, I tells ya! It crept up on me! So I bought that. I Enjoyed it, so I rented a 24 slot server of my own. After a while, I made a clan named =[SoM]= who did wars in Enemy Down. I lead the clan for 13 months, failed at it (We lost tons of wars. Our best streak was 8 wins in a row, and honestly - that was shocking. We usually won one if we was lucky). Activity in the clan dropped, so I disbanded the clan, moved on to WoW. I played WoW for 12 months, got a 60 Warlock, 60 Shaman, 60 Hunter (all Horde, ofc) and eventually cancelled my account, just after buying The Burning Crusade (the bullshit expansion pack they released for WoW, if you don't know). That was about two weeks ago.

Today, I decided to give Source ago for old times sake, and stumbled upon the DUSTFEST server. Played there for a few hours, played in the D2 server for a bit, then came here.

And thats my life story!

I'll probably stick around Source, I really enjoyed playing it today.

EDIT: I also played BF1942, BF:V, BF2, BF2142, Diablo2 and some others like that on the side, but I mentioned the main games above.

It all started with 1.5 for me. I went down to this new pc gaming center that my friend told me about and i tried it. Then i spent the rest of the summer playing 1.5 for around 9 hours a day. After all of that i started playing others like DOD and ravenshield but i love CS and now that my lan center that i play at got sorce i am able to bring back those skills and enjoy the game again

I started playing css by accident. I first bought hl2 about 3 years go and it came with it. So I started to play a little as one of my mates liked it, and hey presto I am now a css addict.

I have become so much of an addict I have started mapping and have setup my own website for mapping (which is new btw).

But now css has to be ranked as one of my all time favs.

I play gungame and assault now mainly. (on Spawnpoint of course)

But im back now and my mapping finger is out and getting busy lol.

It all began on the NES for me... my first addiction was 'Solstice', moving on, I discovered megadrive, then the playstation and it was Final Fantasy vii where I got my daily fix. I then went cold turkey for a while before discovering UT, COD, MOHAA and Ravenshield on PC. Fortunately these games did not have the 'addiction' factor, for if they did I doubt I'd be here today.....

Then came CSS, my daughter (8) would play at weekends when she went to visit her dad. He bought it for her for her 9th birthday. I watched her play.... I had a go at it.... and oh deary me.... LOL that was almost 12 months ago now, the rest is history.

i dont remember the exact time of year or year for that matter but i remember i used to play DAoC ( Dark Age of Camelot ) before i started playing CS. I would talk to my friend on the phone and listen to him shooting people and laughing and having a good time so i went out and picked up the game and tryed it out. Loved it from the start, my first map was Assault on 1.6 but it wasnt a normal assault there was a ladder on the building near CT spawn i forget the exact name of the map. but i got a few kills from the getgo with the AUG and thats history. I eventually got good with M4 and AK and Kreig but towards the end of 1.6 (right before i got source ) i loved the kreig for some reason, now i hate it....oh well thats mah story

The year was when i couldn't remember anything from that year, so i don't know when but all i know is that it was quite a few years ago, and my good friend Hiroki came up to me and told me he found a kick ass first person shooter, so we got talking about it and i said i would get it, i go to the store and bought the 5 game value pack for Half Life and CS and all that jazz.

It ended up being CS 1.5 and soon after became 1.6, and i've been playing that for a long time, but about two years ago i got bored of it, quit, got into RPGs, got bored of beating those 5 times in one night, so i came back to CS, and soon after that Half Life 2 and CS:s came out, played those for a bit, then quit that and got addicted to World of Warcraft (eww life ruining MMo) played that for a good year and a half, then came back a few months ago to CS:s and of course i completely sucked at it (still do, but not as much) and now i play in Ghetto Guns and FragFest East, along side with the clan [DeeP]

And that's my boring and long story, THE END...

well it was when HL-2 came out and i have heard of CS befor but never actully played it so i installed source and loved it , but then i didnt play so much i would play maybe once a week then i got into it more and more until i played everyday then i got into the whole idea of a clan but i could never get into one -_- so i played more and came across spawnpoints fragfest east 2 server and you can guess the rest

Hi everybody ^_^

I started playing cs a long time ago. It all started at school back in 1999 when we were playing half-life multiplayer on the LAN. On a good day one of the guys playing told us of a new Mod coming out soon, called counterstrike. When it came out we immediatly started playing it on school against eachother, guess it must have been version 0.2 or summin'. We played it for a year or two, till the update where all the animations got screwed up. Think it was version 1.0 or 1.1. We then started playing some other 3d shooters. After I graduated I had a bit of a break with computer games, till halflife 2 came out.

Whenit came out I immediatly bought it and immediatly started playing css again. Been playing ever since. I can mostly be found here on the english servers. Dustfest, gungame (30 oddwins already ^_^) and sometimes common grounds.
