AWP vs SCOUT

ok, first off, scout owns, and if you're getting low FPS on the lowest settings, try running the video test and using the reccommended settings, i tried puttin everything on low and had crappy FPS, put the settings on the highest possible, and got alot more FPS. . . just a thought

AWP is better... There I said it! *gasps* As much as I hate to admit. Okay okay all you scouters just hear me out for a second! Pro with an AWP, Pro with a Scout... yeah AWPer will own so much more it's just a fact of life =P. Sure Scout HS = death, but that's not an easy thing to do all the time. Scout is more fun, since you can move faster. AWP better weapon, just because it IS. There's a reason it's so expensive! its nonstoppable!(from a distance) Not much of a sniper myself, I only use one to counter an AWPer who's been dominating a few rounds straight. Usually off of the ground, I'll rarely purchase one. Well there's my opinion and to tell you the truth just thinking about it is making me a lil steemed. hah. Don't hate too much though, CS wouldnt be the same without them.

The scout is way better because its lighter for one and does take way more skill. With an awp its heavy and powerful and 1 hit in the chest does it. Scout you have too take your time to aim and shoot (most of the time).

Not really, Scout is the "don't aim just fire then retreat behind cover" weapon, since it reloads pretty quick, you need to just get the crosshair out and whip it onto the enemy and take a shot. If you miss, take another one. But most likely, if you get him the first shot, then he's just 1 more shot from dead.

Or if you're really good, you can always snap to their head and get a quick HS.

But for simplicity and guarantee that your enemy WILL be dead with 1 shot and 1 shot only, use the AWP.

agreed. there's nothing more frustrating than someone who just camps around and pops you before you can fire a single shot. so scouts for me.

but can anybody confirm that its a little harder to awp in source than it is in 1.6? it always seemed that way to me.

I don't know because I never AWP'ed or Scouted in 1.6

However, not all AWPers camp with their AWPs. That's what we're talking about here.

If you haven't played with Mr. Me II or any of the PHXX members, then I guess you would still have that notion that all the AWPers are campers. But if you come play in a server with us, I can guarantee you that we don't camp with our AWPs unless it is to guard a dropped bomb towards the end of the round.

scout for sure. the accuracy tends to be 98% better than of an awp. You can kill someone easily using no scope.

EDIT : Just for note. awps I think to be fairly cheap.

Uh.... AWPs are infinitely more accurate than Scouts, as long as you are using it properly, ie. standing still and using scope.

I have had many occations where it was a long range shot, and I had aimed perfect on someone's head while standing still and double scoped with the Scout and it completely missed the shot. Did that like 3 times to the guy before he knew where I was shooting from, and he turned around and 1 shot HS'ed me w/ an AK or something.

If I had an AWP that would have been a one shot kill with a HS, no need to wonder if I am going to miss or if it'll hit him and such.

Yea i play as well on a no-awp server but almost every noob know the cmd to buy it in console ... spawnpoint or whoever can do this should put the price to buy it at 100000000000000 on no-awp server so nobody can buy it .. this is good for other forbidden weapon as well

Please name the server where you saw that restriction being broken?

If you see someone doing it on a Spawnpoint server, and there are no admin(s) on at the time, please record a demo with Status in console so that we can get his Steam ID out of it, and we will deal with them accordingly.

i play on servers that dont use the awp or auto snipe. the scout is for people with skill. the awp is for noobs and so is the auto snipe.

not to sound like a N*** or anything but ilike the awp. the reload time is about the same but the power difference is alot. i cant scout but i can awp. i guess its personal preference. just my opinion though soo...
