Hi there
i was paying a rare visit to the UK assault servers and as i played for a while various idiots would come in and spend whole rounds team attacking people down to low hp (around 5-15) and the problem is by the time theyve done it to you someone has retaliated to them by doing the same so if u shoot them theyre just going to die and slay u. Can i suggest u have a system where by if someone either A: team attacks a certian number of times in a small period on one player or B: can do a maximum amount of damage before they are auto slain. I think its good having friendly fire on but i think a little more can be done to stop these kind of players using the server to annoy random people because there own life is clearly so bad (surely if it wasnt they'd have betterthings to do right?). im sure that given a bit of thought this issue can be easily rectified yours truly McBastard (international Barstologist) |

Sadly there are a few idiots who like to kill their own team rather than the opposition. They keep getting banned but more turn up.
There is an auto ban feature so anyone team killing or spawn attacking will be banned for a certain amount of time. I don't think this applies to team wounding. I'd like to see the ban time turned up to around an hour, I think it's on 5 minutes at the moment so players who get banned often come back a few minutes later. That would help deal with team killers but not team wounders. For team wounders there are 2 options that could cut down on it, team wound slap and team wound reflection. With team wound slap the offender gets slapped with a set amount of damage. With team wound reflect it allows you to specify the number of team woundings during the course of a map before reflective damage kicks in. When it does kick in a damage multiplier setting comes into play, if set to 1 it reflects the exact same amount of damage that the team wounder inflicted if set to 2 it does twice the amount of damage and so on. You can also set it so that the damage multiplier increases with each team wound the player does. I'm going to suggest to staff that we increase the ban time for tkers who do not get forgiven and that we introduce a team wound reflection ratio and a team wound reflection ratio increase. It's important to get these settings right so they are not too severe for accidental team wounding / killing, so it might need a bit of tweaking and testing.

For the time being, the only thing I guess we could recommend that admins are vigilant in dealing with these issues. Usually when someone TK's a lot, I get a message on steam friends asking me to deal with it. It might be worth making friends with some admins until a way round this can be found |

OK id now like to suggest that u take friendly fire off all together.
Im getting people that ive obviously owned in the past attacking me when they seem to have no problems with anybody else. i mean its kinda annoying when i join a game and after 3 rounds ive had 3 differenet people throw a nade at me and say something allong the lines of "cant shoot me now can you?" and the sad thing is i dont even remember these noobs. there just some of many that have felt my wrath. please stop turn off FF or AT LEAST take it out of the name of the server cos people that just want to team attack look for these servers and doing putting FF on in the server name kinda advertises that |

i feel that FF is apart of that assault server...and thats why alot of people play there...so they can improve there skills in killing the opposite team, and its more of a challenge for them to try and avoid kill there own team, so i feel that by turning this off we would lose some of the regulars....no matter what FF server you go to u can never sop Ta/Tk etc...the only problem with the UK assault server is regular admins that can watch it.

As you are aware there ARE other spawnpoint Assault servers that have FF off. If you are not happy about playing on the UK FF On server you can (As you have regularly before) play on others ![]() Duck there is no shortage of Admins on the Assault server. I perma banned 2 guys yesterday for this very thing and temp banned 3 more. We cannot be on at all times and are taking steps to put the "reflect damage" for TAing and TKing on at the moment. Stand back to watch noobs "die" for shooting innocent parties ![]() ![]() ![]() Rob

i understand that admins cant be on a certain server all the time... as you know i did use to be one...it would just be nice to have a admin on quite regular.
since i have had admin removed i have started to notice how annoying it actually is, when noobs are on and theres now admin. and this is because i used to be the one sortin the noobs out.....I know all the admins try there best... and i would like to thank furious George, Davie and davo...for helping me out when i have called and thank u rob for just being on has often as u can thanks guy...keep it up Quote:
