CS:S gungame .. Team Game?

Never thaught i'd even have to post a thread / poll on this but. i like being right.

Some heated debates have been going on with me and some fellow spawnpoint regulars ( names shall not be mentioned )

They think cs:s, gungame is a single player game.

I think it is a team game.



My Arguments.

#1. There are 2 " Teams ", ct and t. Therefor its a " Team " game.

#2. At the end of every round, it says either " Terrorists Win " Or " Counter-Terrorists Win ". Thus further proving that there are 2 teams.

#3. If it was a single player game, Who could you possibly gain levels off of? There would be no-one else to kill, thus defeating the purpose of gungame.



Those are just some basic reasons as to why it is clearly a team game.

No question in my mind it is NOT a team game. In a team game, I apologize for stealing kills. In GG, I actively try to do it. I am trying to win the thing for ME and my mates leveling up is just as bad as the other team. If it wasn't against the rules and the spirit of the game, I would shoot down my mates too.

I made a thread awhile ago about an "every man for himself" GG, because that is how I really think the spirit of the game should work.

The idea for GG is for one person to win, so in that sense it is a single player game.

There are still some team elements to it, if your team is awful then it makes it more difficult for you to level up or avoid being knifed, so you are in some ways relying on your team. Having said that I have still won on a team that got hammered, it's just not as easy.

It's the same on the DM server, first to 100 wins, only one person wins but your team can either help or hinder you to win.
