Cought a Hacker

heyy guys


i was playing on the spawnpoint.com|cs:s gungame turbo | 66 tic server for counter strike source & { S.L.A } Talon_TheRushFinder came in with hacks. his screen was tilted 90 degrees. & they were all headshots

i copyed his steam id:
# 241 "{ S.L.A } Talon_TheRushFinder" STEAM_0:0:1910111 02:02 48 0 active

hes right...its your first time....so its okay..but next time to make sure u nail him asap...try to go to the site above and find out more...i was close on getting a hacker once aswell...but i was too slow..and i didn't know...a friend told me to go on a that site above..and it helped me alot...

Seen as the SteamID you provided is that of one of our admins and longstanding community members I am a little sceptical of your claim. Not that we'd treat admins or longstanding community members any differently if they were found to be cheating.

There is nothing we can do without a demo so if you spot a cheat on our servers in future please use the links provided and submit a demo so we can ban them from all of our servers.

That doesn't seem right, I know Talon and he is not one to use cheats or hacks. On top of getting a demo of him if he is to come in again with his hacks, I would recommend adding a regular admin of that server such as Me, Killjoy or Laz; we will often be there when you need us to come in and deal with it.

And Phil: The "Do not use your admin powers against another admin" rule; does it still apply here where the admin in question is in serious breach of spawnpoint rules?

1 question - if i report a hacker, do i have to write his/her Steam ID like:
a) STEAM_0:0:1234578126
or
b) playername556
?

You would write it like the first one. The whole lot including the STEAM_ bit.

So STEAM_0:0:12345678 would be correct.

However 0:0:12345678 or just 12345678 wouldnt.
