Default Counter-strike 3??
Do you see Valve making another engine to run a New Counter strike? Or maybe updating Css. They really need to make some new Maps . What you guys think?

Some of the related videos on youtube give some more info on "CS Online", then looking at Counter-Strike Online it says it's basically CS:CZ. Yes the above video looks much better than CZ, but it does say Nexon at the end so it must be the same company.

As for the engine, I was looking in my Steam install the other day and I noticed there are a bunch of GCF files called "source 2007 ...". I already suspected there was a new major version of the source engine when some of the steam news mentioned SDK fixes regarding compatibility between the orange box games and the legacy games. A little annoying since now it's taking more disk space.

There's no explicit section on wikipedia on what's new in the orange box version of the source engine. It does mention dynamic shadows, cast by your flashlight (anyone seen that in CS:S yet?). Also better physics and animation, although I think the benefits of this are unlikely to come to CS:S seeing as they dropped mouth animation when holding the talk key.

There was a beta server online the other day- much like the beta version of DoD:S that has been running for a little while which uses the source engine used in HL2:Ep2. Was gonna go in but it was full...and the server had 120 slots...Anyway, this looks like another excuse to upgrade my computer. 2,000 more please

this is on wiki but if you watch one of the trailers for this game, it says it comes out at the end of 2007 so i dont really know if this is a game that will be coming out.

As far as im aware it is being released on the asian market?

Also that it is based on Condition Zero so it wont be exactly like source.
But if and when it gets released I hope they stick true to Cs and what it represents.

i seen a video interview a while ago about this, it states that they "will most likely" make a new CS in the future but will most likely wait for the next source engine =(

Counterstrike: Online is CS:CZ on crack, but only for the asian market, no CS:O for you!


Only update I see coming so far would be the Source 2007 engine being implemented into CS:S.
