Have you been in a pub and gotten obliterated by someone whom you can ever recall having gamed with?
To top it off the unbelievable accuracy the player seems to know where you are before they can see you it's left you to arrive at the answer "they must be hacking, it can't be talent!". It can be a huge blow to the fun factor in any game. That is unless you find a way to overcome these players. I just might be able to help you. Here are the things I do to learn another players style and timing (every player has a variation and you need to know yours) 1. When your arch foe attacks you are they waiting? 1.1 If they are you know they are listening and aiming high (head shots are gold) 1.2 Do they have a place, an area, a type of spot (example: ramps, stairs or boxes). 2. Are they accurate or do they spray/burst fire? 2.1 Do they react fast and get you in the first three to four bullets. Think about using cover or changing the angle you attack from. 2.2 Do they have a strafe fire pattern (watch them, do they move left for two seconds right for two seconds). If they do aim where they just were they will walk into your fire. 2.3 Aim as fast as you can, push your skill and hone your ability. 3. Is the player usually accompanied by other players? 3.1 If you can bet on two people stick to your guns and kill the person who's most likely to kill you. 3.2 Think about working with other people and try not to fumble over each other. So to finish things up lets look at a minor change in some people routines. If you never camp, rush, wait, walk, take the long way, take the short way or eat craft dinner you need to think about trying these types of play because the hardest thing for anyone to do is predict the unpredictable. The best players get killed by the worst because they aren't sure of what they are going to do. You are not the worst player, the people your playing with are likely not pro-gamers so in the end it stands to reason that you can improve by learning how people play. Your aim will improve the longer you live (more kills you get). In the end it all about fun. If you are completely void of it go take a break. You have things to do I'm sure. Hope this helps someone. Neuport Play to win.

Most people know my playing style (no comments please). I'm trying to learn to mix it up a bit cause I've become predictable. I also like to surprise ppl by not taking the "usual" or more obvious path..instead I like to use reverse psychology and confuse ppl as to what I'm doing or going to do in game.

My game play has no structure. I only have decent aim. That's probably what you mean by "unpredictable." Most of the time I'm deciding at random, but I'm concentrated on a simply defined goal. That's probably why I'm inconsistent. But again, how can my opponents know what I'm doing if I don't?
Good thread. |

It's easy to run around, very fun to aimlessly poke around and it's funny you should bring the point up. Because you are running around randomly could mean you are unknowingly running a pattern. The other side of that is the other players might be using sweeping patterns trying to trap you in spots that give them the benefit. Besides the human aspect of things they made sure that every map has choke points . As long as you mindful of them it can make things a bit easier. Thanks for bringing that up.

Good pointers. I found that alot of good players go with a set pattern. I myself will sit and wait for them ahead of there normal route or wait long enough and end up behind them. I try not to knife. I don't see any point or skill in knifing someone in the back its a cheap tactic unless in a normal game. I love the flashbangs..good tool if used right. anyway a +++to your rep...nice.
