Perfect crosshair!

I use a small crosshairscale (cl_crosshairscale 9999, and the green colour)when am playing. The problem is that sometimes I cannot see the crosshair, cause it is to small... maybe it should have beed thicker, or a stronger colour... Somebody have a trick?

i personally use a crosshair scale of 3000 with light blue and it seems to work pretty well.

My friend blade uses 4000 but i've tried it and thought it was a tad too small.

don't know why you would even consider using 9999

I used a 4000 crosshairscale in the past, but now I'm sticking with the 10000 crosshairscale because I'm used to it, it takes a while, but both are good. I don't think there is a '' perfect '' crosshairscale, it depends of your monitor size and many other things...

i have the same screen resoulution and i cannot see that crosshair at all how bright is your screen? because that is my favorite size but i have to stick with a massive one just to see it.

Uh..... I have no clue how "bright" it is.

But I have a Samsung 906BW screen, and when I play I put it on the "game" setting. It makes the screen really bright, and the colors a lot more vibrant (I guess the contrast is turned up). I can see the crosshair just fine. However, sometimes in Dust2, I'll lose the crosshair for a second if I'm not paying attention or pointing at something really bright and light colored.

Not that it affects my game play much though.

cl_crosshairalpha 255 may make it easier to see.

transparent actually seems to make it stand out slightly more.

i use crosshairscale 1200 green translucent on 1280*1024 and its by far the most sensible.

cl_crosshairscale 2300; light-blue (works well on every map); transparent (normal light-blue is distracting); brightness 1.6; HDR OFF (sometimes. I don't think it matters unless the map is HUGE); 1280 x 768. Yeah. But I play at a PC cafe'. So I have to input this crap and everything else every time I log on.

Yes i use 0 as the scale that means it autos depending on the gun

I use the perfect custom crosshair!

Its bright illuminous pink and thick, size 4000 - great for any map!

Ok for Bobson.. I made it then dropped it into my cstrike/materials/VGUI folder :-)

and for Kapow... the only customisation i have made to css is to the crosshair and my 'knife'. Naturally these are cut from my cstrike folder when playing any league matches and pasted back in again afterwards!
I'm pretty sure they are not frowned upon in ALL leagues, and the term 'illegal' is a little harsh, but I prefer to play safe then to be sorry so I simply remove them

I actually use that, ^^ it's so easy to hs with that crosshair
