New, Need help

Ok, So I started playing awhile ago but I am not good at all. I dont play as much because I suck at it, it makes me want to go play something like halo 2 were I can just dominate.
So does anyone have any advice for getting better or just learning how to play when starting?

do you have a good mouse,good ping,take a gun with you can get kill,play more this is not with this attitude you will get better,play in noob server too.don t begin with pro that was sure you will die always.

Practice makes perfect, Salvage! I started playing a few months ago as well, and when I first started.. :/ I was teh suck. I'd like to say now that I know what I'm doing (for the most part) the game is more enjoyable. My advice to you is to find a server that you like, and stick with it for a while - the more you play, the more you learn!

Well it depends how long you have been playing..

I was rubbish when i first started.. a few months later im a god at it!
well perhaps not

but certainly better when i first started,

its just simply, 'practice makes perfect'

keep at it, and you'l get better, try 'Create a server' and playing with bots, getting used to maps and the guns and you will build up a good knowledge of the world of CSs!

There is a lot to learn when you start playing any online game and you will get owned for a while.

The first thing is perseverance, remember that the people you are playing against have been practicing for years. You can't expect to just catch up skill wise in a few weeks.

Practice, more hours playing means more improvement.

The guns in CSS are all mostly different and require different techniques to get the most out of them. Experiment a bit to find some you like the feel of, then stick to those. Remember if you spray, fire when moving, jump or are on ladder the guns will be much less accurate. If you are firing at long to medium range use short bursts or single shots otherwise you will usually miss, save spraying for close encounters.

Use your radar/mini map, it shows the positions of your enemies that you see, your team mates and the enemies your team mates can see. Knowing where the enemy are is a big advantage.

Use sound, it lets you know when enemies are near and when they are reloading.

Get used to buying stuff quickly, take too long and you could end up dead before you even finish buying stuff.

Get used to changing weapons quickly, if you get into a firefight and run out of ammo on your primary weapon you don't want to get the bomb out. You can either use the numbers, mouse scroll or previous weapon button (I think the default is Q).

took a while before i learned that one

and if you're going to spray, it helps a whole lot if you move your mouse down as you do it (so you'll end up aiming at their feet or maybe even lower)

I've been playing alot on the Spawnpoint assault Map. Well, not alot just mostly when I play, I play on there. It's really hard to find a noob server because most the servers with noob and all that in it, I get dominated fast. Well, thanks for the helpful advice. I guess im going to start playing this more. I can aim well im getting used to it now.

Er... Assault is a good place to start if you have someone to coach you and teach you things, however, if you were brand new to the game and needs to get a hang of everything, then I would suggest going into the PHXX East2 server when there's someone in there, and just remind us all that you're Salvage from here, and we'll give you some pointers.

Where can I find the East2 server? I must be missing it on the server page.
Im glad this isnt like most the other communitys. I've just been yelled at the whole time and told to learn to play. Its not like im new to gaming just this game lol.
