Mani Crashing CS

Hey Everyone,

Im a new admin at 24/7 assault and I have been experimenting with some of the various commands. I have been having some problems with the ma_givecash command, when i try to use it counter-strike: source crashes. I have tried "ma_givecash #all 16000" and "ma_givecash # all 16000". Both of these crash my game. Can anyone give me some advice or tell me where i can get more information about this.

Well, the real command is ma_givecash #ALL 16000 , though I dont know why it would crash your counterstrike source. Did you want more info on this particular problem? or did you want more info on more commands?

I knew which one the correct command was, i was just experimenting with the other one. I would like more information on this specific problem, i am finding it difficult to find info about fixing the problem online.

Do you have full admin swirsk? It's possible that you don't have the authority to run that command because I can't think of any other reason it would crash your game.

That just means you have lower admin abilties. It works fine for me.

When you open the admin HUD, how many options do you have? If you have 5 options(?), you have minimum admin privilege.

Even if he has the minimum admin priviledge trying commands should not make anything crash, you should just get a message saying you can't do that or something.

Does it just crash your css or does everyone get kicked off the server?

There have been occasions when using certain mani commands seems to crash the server, trying ma_psay in console the other week would crash things for me and skydavo. Using sb_status a few months ago would do the same thing for me and another admin but other admins could use it just fine.

All I can recommend is trying out commands and making a note of what crashes, avoid the stuff that crashes anything and let the Spawnpoint staff know what you have trouble with.

The server crashes I have found when I do a command from me (admin) to another admin. For examlpe if I do ma_givecash swirsk 5000, it will crash the server. Or if I do y@@ swirsk hello!

But ma_chat works fine.

It seems I have more than minimum admin privledges and im not sure that is whats causing the problem. I have tried other commands and they work fine, so far only the "ma_givecash" command is giving me problems. When my CS:S crashes the server and other players appear to be unaffected. No one else I've talked to has had any problem with this command, its very odd in my opinion.

yeap sound like an admin command snafu to me

try these...

ma_explode
ma_color
ma_restrict
ma_saveloc then ma_teleport

see if any of those work

So explode and restrict worked, the rest crashed cs. Then i tried restrict with no weap selected just "ma_restrict" and that crashed cs, shouldn't i just get an error message when i use a command that works but is typed incorrectly?

You have the SAME commands as Fugazi, if not then we have a problem, cause you both are in the same admin group.

I will try those five now in different variations and see if I crash the server.

I do have the same commands in the hud and all the hud commands work fine. I guess this will just be one of those annoying little bugs. I will be able to manage without the few commands that dont work, i can do all the important stuff. Thx for your help though guys, it is appreciated.

Yeah I tried those five commands with values and without. The server did not crash. It seems like a little big associated with Swirsks admin. I got a few bugs with mine. It will all work itself out.

Tom has been working on the PWND clan server which has been down so I need not bother him with little aggravations like these.
