i personally awp in long-range maps, i never awp in close-range (e.g. office), if it's close range i won't use any scope weapon. But as far as the two I had been decent with scout at one time but I awp now, and if you can get really fast with it it's the most useful weapon, like when you're picking mid in dust2, if you're fast they can't get past the door.

I agree, but I do awp in office because it helps you learn to quickscope(run around office deathmatch with an awp)

Scout is a lighter rifle, so its much more easier to jump away, and also shooting.... but the AWP is much more powerful, and it kills you:P

Tbh I think there both decent weapons.

I like the scout due to the fact you can run around and shoot others without having to scope it. Also your not sluggish when you have it equipped. Downside is that it is not very accurate unless you are Crouched and double Scoped.

Awp I feel takes more skill then the scout but it is alot slower and not accurate at all when moving. I'm currently trying to use the awp as often as possible to skill up using the weapon although I still suck at aiming with the damn thing. So calling it a noob cannon is just wrong because it is bloody hard to use and not get popped by somebody charging.

nowai, just learn how to use it.. once you get good with it, it becomes fun to use.. maybe that's why people use it so much. I'm decent with it now when back then I couldn't kill anything unless I stood still for 10 seconds to aim. Now I can no scope but there's a pretty low chance that will happen. It just takes like a a little more time (like 1 millisecond) than the scout to adjust imo.

Scout over Awp for me, though i must say, I almost never use awp due to my lack of skill with it..

I definately prefer the awp because the whole advantage of it over any other gun is it is one shot kill I dont see the point in a sniper that doesnt kill in one :P

Heres my reasons why.

Awp-does take skill. Try getting somewhere in cal without one. For close combat, you have a deagle/glock/usp with you. Awps are awesome if you can use them right. I want to see a person that has never touched an awp (one with no skill of course) use quickswitch and win a match when you are the only one left on your team. Same goes for a pub.

Scout-imo sucks against awp ( but still takes skill to use ), unless you aim for the head which you should do anyways since it only does 60-80 dmg per hit. It CAN be a 1 hit kill also, if they have under 70hp. Scouts are known for their noscope headshots also, so you dont necisarily need to run with your pistol. Scouts are so much faster than awps, expecially since you can move while shooting and still hit someone. ( try strafing and pull off an awp headshot :P )

Btw I own harder with scout than with an awp. Thats why I use awp so much. To get better.

i don't have a favor, both are good, awp is very good, shoots very hard but u move slow, so, scout shoots accurate isn't very hard to handle and u can move very fast so, both have there good things and bad things. so, different what gun i choice with what kind of map.

I prefer scout above AWP.
AWP is good, but I don't know why. I always "hit" you guys, but they always go next to you lol.. (Hitboxes?)
I prefer scout, because I'm teh pr0 with it. I'm a 24/7 scoutzkniver. (Not anymore, Now I'm a 4/7 scoutzkniver and a 10/7 assaulter)

i choose awp the scout if you get a head shot it still might not kill the person your shoting at. if you want speed go with an auto,and you only want to shoot at some one once. because once you shoot they know where you are so if you dont kill them in one shot theyll duck or locate you. then you better get some whear else because theyll lock on to were you are and kill you the moment you go for that second shot.
