NES or SNES

As a kid I remember these great consoles that I used to play, but we sold them in a yard sale.

I'm looking to buy a SNES or NES again. I've looked on eBay and there are a few interesting things.

The SNES runs about US$40 with shipping. The NES runes for US$60 or more. The games are cheaper for the SNES and the NES Games can run up to $15. I can't decide which one to buy. I don't want it to buy expensive games for the NES but that is the platform I would rather have. But the SNES is cheaper and the games are cheaper and you can still find some in Game Stores. But the SNES doesn't run Duck Hunt.

On eBay there is a new thing called an FC Twin. It can play NES and SNES games. But from what people have said on other places there is to adapter for the Zapper Gun, which would let you play Duck Hunt and other fun shooting games. The FC Twin goes for about $40 bucks, but some people say they can't run certain cartridge.

Based on your guy's experiences with these systems, which one should I buy?

It should be about the games really, and what kinda games you enjoy playin'.

If you like the RPG's Like Chrono trigger, Super Mario RPG, Earthbound, Final Fantasy III, Seiken Densetsu 3, Secret of mana.
or action like Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Fire emblem, Donkey kong, go with the SNES

But for everything else go with the NES, Cause in my opinion has a better library of games, Has such good games as RC Pro Am, Mike Tyson's punch-out, Mega man 1-4,Super Mario Bros, castlevania, rad racer. And the list go's on.

That's just my opinion.

i know this is probably an old post... but i highly recomend emulators, i have 650 nintendo games and 150 SNES games on my computer and it didn't cost me anything, not to mention you don't have to worry about malfunctioning consoles or a cartridge that won't let you save.  i don't remember the site i got it from as it has been around 7 years since i downloaded it, but i'm sure google can lead you to a site with a download and setup info.
