So, now that you are older, wiser, and much more technologically advanced, how long does it take you to beat your favorite NES/SNES games (or whatever your fav. system was i.e. Sega)?

For me, I can beat Super Mario World in 3-5hrs. depending on how many of the hidden levels and two ending worlds I do. My favorite is still the special star road worlds though....still challenging!

I had the sega megadrive (genesis) it was amazing.. sonic was imense.. i love playing it now! (on an emulator.. though i do still have the megadrive :))
It usually takes me an hour or so to complete any sonic game with all the chaos emeralds..

though some games e.g. sensible soccer or rugby world cup could take me days..

thanks for makin me remember some of the classics!

:offtopic: Darn, now I can't taunt you with my ice cream cones......well, are you cold, maybe I could taunt you with how WARM it is in South Carolina....haha :p ;)

:focus: Well, I guess either no one reads this section of the forums, or they have long forgotten the days of getting angry at trying to push little turle like beings into lava while riding on a long-tongued dinosaur's back :( How sad.

LONG LIVE MARIO (and Peach)!!!

So yesterday, I was bored, since WindowLicker was hogging the computer...:p so I decided to break out the ol' SNES, and play Super Mario World, and I rescued myself!!! Yay! Go me! Lol...It took me from 2:30 till 10:30 to fully complete the game...that's with breaking to cook/eat lunch and dinner, plus repeated breaks to nurse the baby. I <3 Mario!

That's one game that I would like to play is Chrono Trigger, I saw a few articals on it back when it was new lol but never bought it, I decided to go with Final fantasy, But That's for the PS1, My times for ff7 was 90 hours and that was with all my characters lv 99.
And ff8 was only 70 hours lol, Only reason I know for you non ff freaks lol when you save your game it shows how long you been playing =P But you could easily beat 8 way faster because the monsters are based on your lvs not areas of the map and going further into the game like 7
But I remember playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and To be honest I could never beat the last boss mechanical Robotnic and could NEVER beat him for the life of me, I only jumped around and every so often I would hit him like 2 times then I would die and history always repeated itself even when I did get it on the emulator (Might have been a differ sonic but pretty sure it was 2)
Also one more game back on the ps1 was Resident Evil 2 <3 that was a awesome game, I could beat it in 1hr 45 mins if I turned on unlimited ammo =P (Hold R1 and hit Square 10 times, On the button config screen ^_~) But without it was around 2:15
OH YEA lol back on gameboy the game was wario landd? It was based off Mario but like wario was the evil like mario lol took me 2 days to beat it =]

Ya thanks for the old memories =] I still have a sega, nintendo, Snes <3

Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana were possibly my favorite games on the older systems, one thing i always liked about snes games they usually got straight to the point there wasn't hours of random walking around and backstory on the characters, it was hey, the princess is taken, your the hero, go save her
Snes

Me and my roommate just bought that game again and have been trying to beat it co-op... but it is still unbelievably hard. The monstrous baby is what kills us most the time.
