Not Launching...

COD4 will not launch for me.. you know how on Css it has the 3 dots that keep rotating to 1..2..3 ? Well it stays on 3 and it never launches...

What do i do and has this happened to y ou before?

Does the game its self open or does it say something. Also is it multiplayer or single player?

if it's your first time running the game it should pop up with a directx installer or a punkbuster installer. i forget which one. i would say restart your pc and that should do the trick. sometimes steam doesn't run the script that starts the installers.

you need punkbuster for cod4

try a few thing.

1) verified your game cache

 games> right click on game> Propertises> Local Files Tab > Verified Intergity game Cache

OR

2) defragment your Game Cache.

 games>right click on game> Propertise > Local Files Tab > Defragment game cache

OR

3) restart computer

OR

Reinstall the game

Hopefully that helped

Turning off your Firewall could also solve the problem

firewall has nothing to do with it because he was already playing cod4

Good luck playing on majority of the servers with PB turned off
i suggest deleting your cod4 folder in your steam folder and reinstalling since i know thats how you run it

punkbuster has nothing to do with the game running correctly.

Depends if you play on Pb servers or not.
