Have you ever ran into the glitch where you can shoot each other witht he sniper from about 200ft and not get anywhere even when you are both standing still? Like you just shoot at each other and there are no way the bullets are missing but it isn't doing any damage?

Sniping in BF2 is very different than sniping in CS. When standing in BF2 it can be very difficult to hit something, even if it is not moving, try crouching or lying down to snipe. You also need to compensate for bullet drop in BF2, so if you can only see the guy's head try aiming slightly above his head, this only applies for longer range shots.

thanks but i know that, i'v been playing for a long time lol. If you ever run into that glitch move forwards about 3 steps at a time untill you are face to face and you still won't do any damage it is pretty cool. The second you switch guns though the glitch stops.

I was running through an alley as a sniper and I encountered two enemy Special Forces at the other end of the alley about 300 feet away, I killed them each with a headshot while I was moving standing up and they too were moving. They didn't even touch me...

Other times I will be sitting still PRONE and can't hit something at 100 feet that is not moving.

thats funny dude. Have you ever played bf2142 it over 100 years if the future and the sniper bites!!!!! They had better snipers then that thing 15 years AGO lmfao. i HAVE made head shots from farther away with the snipers pistal then with the dang sniper itself.

yea its like real life at farther distances the bullets arc so you have to aim higher.

-_- in really life shooting someone at about 100yrs ins't going to make it so you have to aim a foot above their head. ANYWAY you are missing my point, right NOW there is a sniper that has a range of 3 miles with only about .003% chance that the bullet will miss. In bf2142 over 100 YEARS in the future they have a gun that can't shoot farther than about 350ft with out taking 5 shots to get the bullets close enough that the people know that they are being shot at.

The Reason why shooting at a target 100 yards away doesn't work is the gun is probably sighted in at for a pretty good distance so the bullet is gonna be still rising as it goes past your target. if a sniper hits their target on first shot then that is pretty damn good cold bore shot which is hard to do with a true sniper rifle.

True so true lmfao, I have made longer range shots with the sniper's pistal than the sniper itself!! LMFAO. I have more kills with the sniper's pistal too. The Galil in Cs:s is more likely to hit someone when fireing all out auto than the BF2142 sniper. Again really it is 135 years in the future and they can't make a gun that can make a shot at 100yds? We have snipers today that can make an accurate shot at 3 miles.
