Sniping in BF2

Yeah people who use the autosnipers are tools. I've been working extensively with Medic and Engineer lately and have gotten to be very good at sniping with the second medic weapon.

yea the enfield (second medic wep) is really good gun to snipe with, due to its accuracy and rate of fire.

Not only that, but once you get hit, you just hid behind a tree and go back it lol.

L96A1 is most accurate in the game, also dont play sniper against me once i fix my install(corrupt file). i will aim at the helo pilots but cant ever get the kills for w/e reason. but i am a great anti sniper/sniper. The L85A1 is good accurate gun. the Scar-L is better though.

I've only killed a guy through a chopper windshield once. Took me 3 or 4 shots to kill him, and I don't know if I was missing him entirely, or what the situation was, but I was using the M95 Barret. It was in Dragon Valley, and he was on the Aircraft Carrier, I was on a road parallel with the carrier, maybe a couple hundred yards away.

yeah that the problem i had except i hit them but not kill them and they turn and gunner shoots me and this is on Oman

Hahaha i went back to play BF2 and had to get like 100,000 points for my next unlock and i REALLY wanted the 2nd Sniper unlock... so i basically hunted another player who had it and kept taking it off of him

OH and for the L96A1... the scope can see people at a longer distance than the M95.

I was playing on Wake Island and the US people were just chilling on their island popping me and my little M95 off... (And i dont mean "little" literally)

For a beginner it's easiest to shoot people standing still. I like to find a good spot to camp a flag that is always being faught over, lots of people stay still when capturing flags. Always remember to lay down when sniping to or else you will never hit anything.

Another tip for easy sniper kills is to find an attack chopper that doesn't spawn in an uncap(unless the server allows attacking uncaps). Use the barret snipper rifle and shoot people out of the attack chopper when they are preparing to take off. They wont be moving and everyone always runs for the attack choopers so you won't run out of people to kill.

The FN-Scar-L is OK accuracy wise, but any guns from the "G" series beat it
(MG36, G36C, G36E, etc.)

The only gun that can penetrate the windshield is the M95. Thats why you never got the kills

(read the gun description for the M95 it says somthing about how it can penetrate stuff)

i know that. i have not ever tried the l96a1 on helos or jets. when i wanna camp jet / helo spawns to cap the pilot in the head i try the barrett but cant ever get the kills. when i use sniper rifle i dont play sniper.

Just another quick tip, if you enjoy sniping but aren't too good at it, try practicing on a Sniper only server. They generally only play maps with a clearly laid out center line, and most have rules against crossing the line and playing kits other than the sniper, so you will get better at it. That's how I learned to snipe in BF2.

Also, someone said to snipe when you're prone, or you won't hit anything. Actually, you can snipe very accurately using the 'strafe-> quick stop-> shoot' pattern you'd use with the scout in CS:S. That's not to say you'll do well, because you'll be giving away your position. But it can be done while maintaining great accuracy. =P

lil tip dont always go prone as they makes it quicker to kill ya at times. i have gone against another sniper i will be standing they decide they wanna crouch all of a sudden and pink HS they dead i live to kill someone else.
