New gaming rig browser not opening pages
So because I can't see a dang thing on my laptop, I am forced to work off of my desktop for now.
Since this desktop was put together mainly as the gaming rig, I obviously made it as bare bone as possible. It's got the basics on here, AVG anti-virus, and CCleaner. I've also installed Firefox 2.0 on here. I am having trouble viewing a certain pages, not sure why. Like, for example, I cannot even load Newegg's site, and also Microsoft's site. So... not really sure why it's not loading these sites. Anyone got any ideas?

Have you checked if this work with another webbrowser like IE ? Does it time out or do you have some error mesage stating you can't browse those sites ?

It was happening with both IE and Firefox.
I think it had something to do with the MTU, as I had my desktop plugged into the laptop via a Cat5 cable, and used the laptop's connection for the internet. I just hooked up the wireless USB adapter for the desktop again, and so far it seems to be loading pages without problems, so I'm pretty sure whatever problem it was, it had to do with the fact that I was using the laptop's wireless connection for the internet for the desktop. After Saturday, hopefully, I'll be plugging the desktop directly into a 7mbps cable modem
