ATI 2900XT or Nvidia 8800GTS-640mb?
ATI 2900XT or Nvidia 8800GTS-640mb? Thats my current quandry. The ati does better at dx10, but i won't be running vista quite yet so im not sure thats really a discriminator.
I currently have an ati x800XL which im reasonably happy with the drivers with, and havent heard great things about the newer nvidia drivers. On the other hand, i think the ATI uses a lot more power / produces more heat than the nvidia which is a potential downside. Currently im leaning towards a EVGA 8800GTS-640mb paired with a intel 6850 core2duo + p35 board. |
