Ventrilo =(

My ventrilo started to randomly lag. All my other programs would run smoothly like cs;s but the only problem was, i could see somebody press the talk key, but 5 seconds later they'd be talking in a chopped up format.

I've tried restarting the computer and opening and closing ventrilo.

the only thing i can think of would be setting it to a higher priority in task manager.

I also would check your ping in vent, i have had that happen before. And it would say my ping was 22 but all of sudden it would spike to 20,000+ so might be that.

ummm try another ventrilo server see if it still happens, if it does, might be your firewall, or router. if it doesnt might be routing to the server. Also is it constant? or is spikes aand at random times. Might be your isp working on your connection, i get that very often and thats when i get those spikes, when my isp is working on my connection.

does it do that in our vent server jack? Could be a location pinging issue. If not try restarting your modem also. Make sure that you do not have any hidden programs in task manager hogging up bandwidth as well.

i have a similar situation with the da vent but i just deal with it. I hear things that ppl say like maybe 5-10 sec ago

Just reinstalled vent and it worked.
