hardrives make little to no difference unless you going from ide to sata ll on a raid 0 setup.
if you put them in all you would get is more space to store porn.

i recommend you install that 120 gb drive instead of that small 10 gb disk if you wanna increase how much memory your computer has you could increase your virtual memory. max VM is 4096 mb per hd petition on your computer which is a hd based RAM

Yeah you can put them in. They wont make your pc run faster but it wont slow it down either
. You will need to make sure that your motherboard has the correct sockets free. Also make sure that your PSU has the correct power connectors free. Next thing to check is if there is enough room in your case . Hope that helps ![]()

You could put them all in yes, but if they are all ATA you won't have anywhere to plug in your CD drive(s)
The 10gb drive would be almost useless, maybe use it as a backup for photos but thats about it. It being 10GB it is probably ATA66 or lower, with 1mb cache or lower, so it would be much too slow for any real use. Using one drive for Windows and another for Games is always a good idea. Once a hard drive gets about 60-70% full, it will start losing performance in my experience. In short, replace the 10gb with the 120. Assuming you use the 10gb as a slave in an ATA system, just check the back of the 120 hard drive for the Jumper (small plastic peice covering two pins). There will be a diagram on the drive somewhere explaining where to place this for a Slave configuration. Adjust the jumper accordingly and put it in the place of the 10gb. In ATA, the slave plug is the one about 2/3 down the cable. Master is the one at the end closes to the slave. Motherboard gets plugged into the one farthest from the Slave plug. The end for the motherboard is usually Bluw but not always. Also,as of this post, you have 666 posts bulldog ![]()

as far as jumpers, i say just put everything cable select
although thatll confuse you and itll probably screw something up that youve already had set upsome desktop motherboards can hold as many as 10 harddrives easy, providing it has 6 sata and 4 pata and you dont want a cd drive ![]() |

Like Mr-Me-II says there are other options like pci, pci express, firewire & usb the cheap easy way is to use add on cards like 1 of these
![]() I've got 8 HDD's (4SATA & 4IDE) and 2 DVD writers in my box. I run the 2 DVD writers on a ATA/133 IDE Controller PCI Card. Works like a charm. You can also get a IDE 2 SATA converter (if you have spare SATA connections) ![]() or you can just combine some of the above to suit your needs ![]() |

Ok, i just opened up my comp and found out there is only 1 hard drive, but it acts like 2...
I dont think there are hookups for the 120gb one, but there are hookups for the 36 gb one. I plugged it in from a plug that came off the other hard drive (they are both sata) but it doesnt act like I plugged anything in ![]()
