Google it.

It's just like Nintendo not making games for the Gamecube anymore.
They're moving on with their new product.

yep, and with microsoft, expected release dates really don't mean all that much, just google "vista delayed"

i'd expect 2011 as a more likely release year.

true but a lot of people say xp is better than vista.. Vista only has better graphics. Vista overheats too easily

When XP first came out around 2001, people didn't like it because of all the bugs and prefered 2000, same thing for Vista. Over time Vista's bugs will be fixed and eventually pwn XP.

How can an operating system overheat? If your hardware meets the requirements, you shouldn't have any problems at all, I don't have any problems and I've been running it since it's release month.

That's the thing, Vista's problems aren't bugs. Its lack of support for features and rendering engines in previous OS versions. Vista is promoting OpenAI audio engine by cutting out almost all the others, including directdraw which HL games use.

sorry i wasnt clear when i said overheat. What I meant was that.....example(my friends gateway vista laptop) he turns it on and plays cs for like half an hour and eventually, when he is using his mouse he feels a massive heat wave coming from the laptop. So like hes using his mouse which is like 4 in away from the laptop and he can feel a lot of heat coming from the computer.

okay, maybe it uses more resources, which generates more heat.

That makes more sense, but I had a laptop that ran windows 2000 and it was hot too, so you cant blame it entirely on vista. But yes, I'm not denying it, it uses more resources, thus more heat.
