For some reason today my internet started acting up. I can only opend about 10% of sites that I usually go to. I can't even connect to the steam network. It only seems to be certain things that won't load. All my instant messengers will load just fine. I have check all my router settings for port blocking and everything checks out fine. I called my ISP and they aren't having any shortages in my area. I tried to ping a few sites and just like the web, only 10% go through. The other 90% say TTL Expired In Transit. I'm clueless. HELP!!

The TTL error message basically means that your connection is getting bounced all over the planet. This is definately a problem with your ISP. They may not be having any shortages in your area, but they are definately having a routing problem somewhere between you and the servers you're trying to connect to. Chances are either the person you talked to doesn't know about it yet or your ISP is praying to get the problem fixed before too many people find out it's thier fault (and want account credit for the inconvenience).

TTL means Time To Live. TTL 128 means the packet will just die after 128 miliseconds (Correct me if I am wrong)

A tech support guy came out today and looked at my line. He said my downstream is at 13dB and it should be between 0 and -10. My upstream is at 45 and should be between 20-30. They might replace the line today they say...I hope so!
