SpawnPoint - Where Game Begins

Well, I just got a friend recuest, and ofcourse I didnt see any harm of accepting it. And so, after accepting it, I pressed the contact to write to him, and I said "Hey", and BAM, suddenly my account was logged on from somewhere else. And I just sendt a ticket about a hijacked account to steam, so hopefully I'll get my pw back.

I think its an automated system, seeing that i all happend under 10 seconds.


SO BEWARE WHO YOU ACCEPT AS TO BE YOUR FRIEND ON STEAM.

Hijackers name was something along EXP, and he changes all the account name he hacks to "Hacked by EXP".

I just deny all people and all groups that are unsolicited or that I don't know. Steam has more holes than windows does.

That must be like a guard dog that is too old and fat to do anything but lift his head and bark at you as you walk in and steal his owner blind.

I have logged in on my account from other computers without ever using the code that they send. I would get the email, but there would never be anywhere to submit it. You would just hit continue or something and it logged you in. So I wouldn't trust it a whole lot. Still scary what you hear about in some of these stories.

I have found steam guard to be great, as annoying as it can be. Trying to get onto your steam account when at a mates house can be a nuisence having to log into your email as well. Go into settings and make sure you have it set up right in the "manage steam guard account security" and deathurise all computers. once you have logged in on a computer once it should remember that one until they are all deactivated.
