there's no workaround for the wait command, it's being blocked, as it can be used for some exploits.

Think easiest thing to do is make four separate buttons for:
ma_users
ma_rates
status
ma_admins

you can also try to just remove the wait commands and see if it still works.


ill be completely honest thats a very stupid move.. my demo script wont work, poomans bind wont work, alot of binds will stop working with that. As for the exploits i laugh cause ive given phil ways to solve them.. *sigh* I wonder if that wait cmd is going to happen to all the servers cause then alpha cant play either since her plant bomb bind has wait cmds (team msg wait plant bomb)

I have to disregard a few of my binds and scripts when i play on Zblock enabled servers :unsure:

If I understand everything well, zBlock has been installed on this server to stop people using some commands that makes the server lag. Everyone benefits it. Now because a few people can't use their binds, which are just things to do actions more easily, you're asking it to be removed (or at least you're all cryiing about your lost binds)??
That's the same as people who CAN'T live now without a mobile phone. 10 years ago we were all living WITHOUT very easily...
Can't you just press a key to go to console and type "status", then "ma_users", etc... ? (actually we don't need you to type 4 different commands in demo. Status only will work pretty fine... even auto-observe works better, no need to even type status...)

I wasn't complaing about Zblock, infact I'm all for it if it will stop some of the wallies crashing the servers. I was just questioning if there was a way around the problem that I've had. :smile
But it looks like there isn't so I'll just go with some of the recommendations, that you guys have supplied. :wink:

Thing is Davo...and I'm sorry if this is going off topic but Drifter has given people the way around the exploits so that, if implemented, we wouldn't need to put zblock on......

It's not the fact people are complaining about losing a load of their binds and stuff it's the fact that they wouldn't need to......

Now, if, for whatever reason, the "fixes" Drifter has suggested for the servers can't be implemented on our servers for some reason...If we made it common knowledge it wouldn't "appear" as though we're ignoring him.......

All I know is that the server is running beautiful and lag free for me right now... but would like to agree a common sense way forward.

We could do with this on the UK Assault, since that server tends to get timeleft crashed rather frequently.

code also to block the timeleft but that blocks it completely but this link block_crash (for reliable channel overflowed exploit) - Mattie.Info Forums gives you the code to check if you're spamming it.

3rd one is the DoS but i found the plugin seems its only for tf2.

4th one i have no clue what it is ive looked but to no avail.

then i can get picky and tell you this one Kigen's Anti-Cheat 1.1.8 - AlliedModders also ;-) but thats sourcemod and i kinda want to push towards change in admin plugin majorly cause sourcemod has some very useful plugins (like that one which i can vouch and so can alpha it catches A LOT of people hacking on 2 of the servers we play on) and it even checks for timeleft spammers and the the other ones at the top. As well as blocking unconnected from joining. Sourcemod... is also SUPPORTED offtopic ftw.

Originally i didn't want to post anything for the fact that people might use them. I really hope we use the anti cheat since it WORKS and ive never seen it make a mistake. The player might not be hacking the server but it checks for cvars and if one of the "important" ones are not in sync with the server (sv_cheats, r_drawothermodels etc.. which means a hacked client.) it bans them.
