Me and Vudoo one night tried to get phisped by a guy. We both made fake steam accounst and stuff it was classic. And we got the guy GBLed.

OO i remember one time this random guy added me, i dont know how but his name was like steam helper or sumthing that made me believe that he worked for steam. Then he started asking me all these questions about my personal info, saying he needed to do a check on if i was hacking. I thought for a moment and gave him my name and game name, then he wanted my password so i knew right away he was up to no good. BEWARE, STEAM NEVER ASKS FOR PASSWORDS!

I think this is all a little bit of common sense. Some people do fall for the most blatant things, just be aware and always suspect things if they don't seem right.

I got asked for my username and password once. They said if u dont give me your username and password by 24 hours your account will be banned. I didnt give it to them and i didnt get banned. People have to watch out for people like that.

why would anyone try to phish its just soo dumb i know u might get 1 persons account but then u might never get any others cos everyone knows about u

This is the same as any other scam or phishing deal, common sence prevails in anything like this.

Why would Steam need your account details, since in order to get Steam Friends etc working you have to be logged in, they already have your details.

This is no different from any other kind of scam like this, why would your own bank ring you and ask for your account details, or credit card company, or Steam.

Never ever give any personal details out, ever. No one else ever needs to know them

lol I had a bad experience.

Some1 asked to join my clan and asked for my steam acc to add me.

I gave them it..

Never knew they would try to hack into it..

Unlucky for me.. My password was "Password"

And Uh Oh! Some1 has my steam acc!

Rufus u have a good point. Steam already knows ur password,steam id, etc.

In this thing i read somewhere that about a third of all passwords are "Password" i thaught, " Why should i be any different "
