I have an odd question. Your going to a wedding at 5PM on a Saturday. Do you wear a tie...or do you wear a jacket and go without a tie. I recently went to a wedding as described above and the guys wearing Tie's were 50-50. Now I live in Central Florida and were a little less formal....or is it the same all over?

Unless the invitation states something like "casual attire" - definitely go with the tie. If you get there and nobody else is wearing one, you can take it off.

Greenblaster was right...a wedding is a wedding. And Nikki backs him up. You can always take it off. I didnt wear one. Next time I will. I didnt feel uncomfortable though because so many guys were not wearing one. There were a lot of young professional people there. Some even younger then me, and it seemed much more casual then it used to be. The booze was great, dancing was great (I do the same step for everything) and I had a half a bra in my jacket pocket when I got home??? My wife thinks it waspart of the curtains... I hope so!
