Text speak is what I call it. I hate it.

When I'm chatting on css I make a point of always using proper English. I occasionally use lol to be polite(when someone makes a joke but it's not funny), I used lmao once but that's it.

I feel like I have to use correct spelling and punctuation because everyone else doesn't. I am not an old man, or even middle aged but I don't have a mobile phone, so this abbrieviation obsession just leaves me mildly annoyed.

To be a rebel today I have to be able to spell and punctuate. I had to ask what tbh meant, and I'm assuming that that teh doesn't just mean that loads of people don't know how to spell "the". ffs (and I had to ask about that one too)

Maybe this should be in the rant zone.

IDK Is that A-ok? I love the abbreviations, other wise we would be getting about half type kills.:DIsn't it odd that abbreviation is such a long word describing shortening of a word?

I only have room in my head for one user name, so I've just kept on using the same one that I got given at college. It's just an abbreviation of my full name and I'm too lazy to think of anything better.

Don't think that you can use it to steal money from my online banking though, my usernmae is definately not cpnichol for that. If anyone does know what is then please tell me, because I'd like to be able to use it sometime.
