:(

Deepest condolences to Scro and his family at this saddest of times.

I'm going to miss the old guy's witty conversations from the server.

The place is going to be a bit "empty" without him here.

RIP Ancient may you ban many hackers from heaven :)

Omg, I don't even know what to say.. I didn't know Ancient Admin all that well, but from all the times playing with him on Evo I had gathered that he was an alright guy. He didn't talk all that much, perhaps it was that he was busy gaming, or maybe the fact that he didn't really know me. Either way, rest in peace friend, and may life only bring good things to your family. :(

Well I never really got to know you, although I did play w/ you on the Evo server. I just want to say I respect what you did for the NYPD. I lost a family member who was in the NYPD, and I can't thank you enough for everything you do.. Thank you.

Although I havn't actually seen him, since he was absent for some time. As a part of spawnpoint he had his own thread to pass down his knowledge to other community members so that they can learn life lessons. Rest In Piece and god speed.

The community will miss you and you infinate wisdom.

My deepest condolences to Ancient's family, and RIP Ancient!

His posts on this forum always cracked me up, and I think I spoke with him a couple of times in the servers, and he cracked me up there too. I will miss him for those moments that I had spent in the servers with him, and definitely cherish those moments.

I'll be tipping my glass to Ancient tonight.

Everyone,

Thank you for your kind thoughts.

You should know he was never a big "gaming" kind of guy. As a retired NYC police detective and business owner he didn¡¦t have much time for computers and games most of his life. (Most of his life computers didn¡¦t exist ƒº) I introduced him to computers and to counter strike after his retirement. He credited CS and the SP community for allowing him to retire, giving him something outside of the home to do.

Being ancient meant that he wasn¡¦t the fastest gun on the server. If you all remember the early days, the number one rule for new admins on our servers was to leave POPS alone at all costs! They didn¡¦t understand why he would camp in a corner the entire map, and people would get highly frustrated as he would always be camping behind some corner or another. He used to call me all the time to tell me how many guys he shot in the back that day, and let me tell you, he highly enjoyed it!
He also loved the community of young people. He loved to heat things up in the forums and have these discussions with the young crowd. He would continuously call me at work, did you read this one, and have you seen this guy? I NEED YOU TO BAN THIS ONE! It was a real passion for him. For those of you who know him personally, he was a man that loved all living things, and all aspects of life itself.

Thanks again to everyone for your well wishes and support. Well miss you POPS.

The burial will be held Wednesday at 11:00am.

We need to add a 'Camping Only' server named 'Spawnpoint.com - Ancient Admin'
