Default Spawnpoint - new anti-cheat league?

Hey,

I have a suggestion for the owners of Spawnpoint.com. Spawnpoint is a pretty big gaming community. You guys have tons of servers - particularly Counter-Strike: Source ones.

A great idea would be making a Spawnpoint league (maybe something similar to ESEA).

You should release prizes for users that are on top charts (frags, etc...) and you could charge for ''premium membership'' to play in these leagues (or you make it free and sponsor it with advertising).

You would need your own *VERY WELL BUILT* custom anti-cheat. Looking at current leagues: CAL, Cevo, etc.. they have pretty crappy anti-cheats. Even the infamous ESEA client is horrible (and it IS possible to cheat in ESEA even though they claim it isn't).

Your anti-cheat would have to inject into Counter-Strike: Source preventing hooking from other cheats, check cfgs for ''illegal'' scripts, enforce model and material consistency (DO NOT RELY on SV_PURE. Horrible considering it can be bypassed), and work with the VAC2 client from Valve. (ESEA is not compatible with VAC2 - lol's).

I would be the first to sign-up as a developer for your "anti-cheat". I am a guru in Visual Basic coding (ROFL! But, anything done in any other language can be done in VB :P) and pretty decent in C++ and Java. I also pretty knowledgeable on hacking software.

--------

Post any comments regarding this idea. I think it would hit off pretty fast. I would recommend keeping the existing servers without having a client prerequisite and making a new network of "anti-cheat" servers (where client is required to connect and play).
