I've a nephew who's currently serving in afghanistan and i give thanks every time my Brother hears from him that he's ok.
I read in our papers that a soldier who was badly hurt in a roadside bomb attack was discharged from the UK armed forces due to his injuries.
He's still to receive compensation and now the army are evicting him and his family from their army home.
I think it's downright wrong that this guy put his life on the line for his country and is then tossed on the scrapheap when badly injured.
What are we coming to?

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.....
