All admin applications need to be submitted on the servers page. Here is the link:
http://www.spawnpoint.com/RequestAdmin.php
*EDIT* I just checked the admin applications and I am amazed at how many of them have either the steam name instead of ID or only a partial steam ID with them. Admin is based off steam ID. If you don't fill out the application correctly or "exhagerate" in your application, it will be turned down. Your steam ID looks like this.... STEAM_0:1:12345678... or something very close to that. Yes the STEAM and the underscore and the first two numbers are important as they aren't always the same. Some people's are STEAM_0:0:ect...
Please do not spam or re-submit the applications for the same server unless you have made the above mistake as this will get you turned down as well. Some applications will take longer than you might expect. Be patient because ranting and raving about how long they take will not help you. *understatement* Do not apply for a server unless you play there significantly either. Setting up admin for a server you visit once a week is a waste of time and resources.
*NEW*
There are lots of reasons why an application would be declined. It doesn't necessarily mean that you have done something wrong or don't qualify. A lot of the time it could be that the server in question needs admins to meet a certain bar....like being in the Da clan to get admin on the Da server, or some of the PHXX clan servers, only PHXX or staff gets admin there. Another reason can be that the staff has decided that there are already enough guest admins on a certain server.
Being "declined" doesn't always mean something bad for you guys. A popular server is sure to have enough admins so if you want a better "shot at admin", try playing on a server that isn't so popular. After becoming a regular on that server, then apply.
You can also check the status of a pending admin application by clicking on the link above while being logged in to the forums. (under the name you used to apply) Currently, Spawnpoint is only sending out emails to notify when an application is accepted. There is not a system in place as of yet to send out emails when your application is turned down. So far, the only place you can see if it was denied or still pending is by clicking the link above.
Thanks for your patience and remember: You can still get hackers and jerks disciplined without admin. Keep sending those demos into
hacker@spawnpoint.com.
