It's never easy to become an admin... if it was, people wouldn't take the responsibility seriously and the spawn point servers would be nightmare to play on as there would be 1000's of admins!
Listen to the advice you've been given... get on the forums, get involved, play well, make friends with the people on your regular server and ask once in a while... also, learn how to make demo's of hackers and help Spawn Point by sending them in to

I did all of this and it took me 8 months to get noticed!
