Well i do not mean to brag. I am on the varsity baseball team as a freshman. Now i have played baseball all my life. I am little over 6 feet and i play 3rd base. jerry, the best advice i have for you is to try your best at what your coach tells you to do. My coach did not play me for a while. I had to work my hiny off every practice while all seniers did crap and still got there posistionsin the field/batting order. Aventually my coach relized how bad i wanted to play and that i worked hard at what he would tell me to do etc.
So my main point is dont quit. You will regret it. when your out of college or in college. If your coach puts you in the outfield then work hard at it and he will bring you back down to shortstop. Hope all is well and dont quit man.
