I rarely get into the politics section here at spawnpoint...but I figured I'd stop by for this:

My father (pure irish) once said "America is great, you can do absolutly anything you want here...as long as you have a permit to do it."

That says a lot I think. America is great in a lot of ways, but you cant really do anything that is really fun unless you buy a permit. Think about it, this is the only country on the planet where you can get arrested for burning some trash in your backyard. Hell, when I lived in Ireland, I would torch whole fields and the worst that would happen is the fire department came and put it out. No questions asked. If I burned somthing here that required the fire department, I would get 8-12 months for arson.
Just last fourth of july I almost got arrested for lighting a fewsparklers at once, cops said it could be considered arson, when it was in the middle of a damp field in an industrial park. No joke. I have it on video.
