The biggest thing I've always noticed is if you turn down your graphix, your computer assumes you dont have teh video capabilities to handle the game, so it runs mostly on proc power, or soemthing like that. You should try setting your graphix back up to your regular desktop display, but make sure to try the simple things first, turn all the settings to their recommended areas, but turn off all shadows and anything dynamic. When I ran my system on all low settings, everything all the way down, my fps got worse... :/ and fixing your rates is usually something that needs doing. So just turn off all dynamics and shadows and fix your rates, you may be suprised how simple it is.
