RE: What does it mean if your post count goes down?
I just wanted to add a quick note about old threads...generally it's best to leave old threads alone and either post to more current ones or start a new one, but there are some that are perfectly ok to bring back up, particularly in certain sections of the forums. For example, if you were looking through the Ask A Tech section and came accross a thread that talked about a computer issue you were having, but the solutions people gave in that thread didn't seem to help with the problem you were having (or caused a new problem to pop up) then feel free to add on to that thread. There are also a couple of threads by myself and Saphire asking what kinds of things people would like us to write articles about, and either of those is fine to post to at any time no matter how old the last post was. Oh, and there are 2 threads in different sections for people to post pics of their computers, so if you want to show off your rig you can feel free to post to either of those threads even if they are old.
I don't want to speak for any of the other moderators or staff about which types of threads (if any) they wouldn't mind people bringing back even if they are old, but the examples I gave are specific ones I know were intended to be running topics that people could post to at any time.
