Default Bans and SpawnPoint Policies

Please Read ALL THREADS BELOW.

At SpawnPoint, it is one of our goals to provide a fun environment for all. Another one of our major goals is to increase the population of players on Spawnpoint servers and the website. We don't want to ban as many as possible and only have the elite people that we like to play with. Very few people like to come to servers with only bots. Keep this in mind when you see a decision that you (speaking figuratively here) don't like. There is a good reason for most of them and if there you believe there isn't, there are forums to discuss it. Do not freak out and start demanding things in game. There have been some bans and other issues lately that some people have not liked. Although we want to increase users on the servers and such, we will not compromise on certain issues. The ones that have been most public lately are hacking, racist stuff, and open disrespect and verbal abuse of admins. No matter how much we like or other people like a person, if they are hacking.....they get added to the global ban list. period. We don't add people to this list lightly.Sometimes multiple members of the anti-cheat team will look at a demo when a ban is contested in the effort to eliminate mistakes. If there is a doubt, the player in question will not be added to that list. Most non-hacking issues are going to be some form of temp ban or other discipline imposed.

Another issue that has come up is server rules. Some server rules are very server specific, not just map specific. Some of the other servers you play on might allow one issue but let another slide. Do not expect that the Spawnpoint server you are "visiting" will have the same exact rules as the one you frequent. I have one thing to say to this....rules are rules. Most of the server specific rules have been set up with direct imput from the "regulars" on the server. If you feel like you are becoming a server "regular" and would like to see some rules changes, talk to the admins that you see on that server and ask/suggest politely <-------and I do stress this. This doesn't mean bother the crap out of them so that they want to just mute you either. You can also make suggestions in the server session forums too. Remember, just because you think that it is a great idea, doesn't mean that your suggestion will be used either.
Go have fun and enjoy the servers!........but follow the rules..

Any other senior admins/Spawnpoint staff feel free to add to this......
