Anyway,
In the dark band above click the "User CP".
On the next page click the "edit profile" button under "settings & Options" down the left hand side.
On the next screen there's a section to put your "steam friends" name (beside the skype and ICQ no. bits) and, lower down a bit to put your steam id...
Make sure you put STEAM_before it
