Step #1
• Create a new Wordpad or Notepad file
• The following keys are all bindable in Counter-strike:

• Next step is to create a buy script command line
• Here is an example:
o bind "KP_END" "deagle; vesthelm; defuser; buyammo2; buyammo2"
o bind "KP_INS" "defuser; hegren; flash"
• In the example, the 1st line will bind the #1 on the Keypad to buy a Deagle, a Vest and
Helmet, a defuse kit and one extra clip of ammo.
• The 2nd line will bind the #0 on the Keypad to buy a defuse kit, grenade, and a flashbang
• No matter what the bind is you are trying to create it must always have this syntax
o bind "KEY" "command"
• the "key" must always use the name listed in the bindable keys from above
• the "command" must always be a command CS will recognize. For example the gun
names listed above.
• Once you are done creating your scripts it should look something like this:



• Notice you can also put other commands in there that you wish to exec every time you
load CS

Step #2
• Save the file as "userconfig.cfg"
• Go to File -> Save As



• Type the filename as "userconfig.cfg"
• Click save as type "All files"





• Make sure you save this in your cstrike directory
• Default Location is:
o (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\yourusername\counter-strike\cstrike)

Step #3
• Go into your cstrike folder.
• Default Location is:
o (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\yourusername\counter-strike\cstrike)

Step #4
• Open your config.cfg file
• You can do this by Right-clicking and going to "Open With"
• The following screen will appear:




• Select Notepad or Wordpad
• Check the "Always use the selected....." checkbox
• Press ok

Step #5
• Inside your config.cfg file you should find the following line



• If you do not find this line, type it in
You have now created a buy script that will exec every time you load CS.
