Intel, Online Gaming and Anti cheat Technology »

http://www.arstechnica.com reports that Intel is researching technology that will detect cheating in online games... TAKE THAT AIMBOT/WALLHACK/SPEEDHACK TOOLS!!
"The software demoed to our own Jon Stokes at Research@Intel Day would monitor data sent from the player's computer to the server and would be able to detect anomalies, peg the players as cheaters, and then notify the server or admin so that the offending player could be kicked out of the game." -Article's Author
Here's my two cents. Yes, it is pretty cool that a company as intelligent as Intel is, do you or me really want something that may be revolutionizing and 'neat' being subjected to some sort of software algorithm that can 'sense' when a third party cheat is being used, and ban someone....oops, we are sorry. Apparently there was a glitch in the code, and we are now un-banning 5700 legitimate gamers. OK, you saw where I was going with that, read more about it here....or google it.
