This was a very interesting gameplay mode, but I had a suspicion that the creativity didn’t just stop there.
F.E.A.R. 3 recently released a trailer (link to original press release) showcasing the "Wall of Death" cooperative mode where players need to use teamwork to keep an even pace through the level, avoiding the oncoming Wall of Death that instantly consumes them.
This was a very interesting gameplay mode, but I had a suspicion that the creativity didn't just stop there. Well, today my suspicions were correct.
The developers for F.E.A.R. 3 just released a trailer showing off their most competitive multiplayer mode "Soul King."
The objective of Soul King is to kill enemies to collect their souls.
The player with the most souls at the end of the match wins.
The catch is that when you die you lose half of your souls so you have to play defensively if you are in the lead.
