SpawnPoint - Where Game Begins

The River Valley is a new map included in the new expansion for Angels Online (http://ao.igg.com). Today the Angels Online folks will tell you more about the story and quests behind this place.

The Beast warriors are people of the earth. They enjoy the outdoors, and believe that to be at one with nature brings you closer to God. When a member of the clan comes of age they are sent out to the Training Center in the River Valley for 99 days. After surviving alone here, facing their own spirit and the power of nature they can return to the clan. When they’ve returned, the Sheikh rewards them with the Valley Survival Medal and from then on they are a full member of the clan.

Players can enter the map from the southeast of Cryptic Moon Swamp. The environment is not much different, but the River Valley has less of the darkness that pervades the swamp. Small creatures roam the valley, including orangutans, crocodiles, fairies, and chameleons, fortunately they are not aggressive. Players venturing through can decide for themselves how much they want to antagonize the wildlife, but as a general rule of thumb, they won’t bother you if you don't bother them. However, if you come across the Gorilla Lord, give him a wider than normal berth, cause he is the exception to this rule and his high HP makes him a formidable foe. There are also a variety of natives and adventurers from whom players can accept quests and obtain rewards.

However, where there is danger, treasure is not far away, and the demons here have not only corrupted the creatures of the jungle, but also have warped the materials usually found in abundance here. Now, I know what you’re thinking, corrupted materials can’t be worth much right? Wrong. These unique materials can be found nowhere else and some are essential for forging high level weapons. Production players will have a field day with all the materials here, and the beautiful jungle scenery probably doesn’t hurt either.
